A private hot tub, all year, under a Suffolk sky.
Otto's Barn is a luxury Suffolk cottage sleeping 8, with a private hot tub in an enclosed south-facing garden. Restored from an 18th-century barn — vaulted oak beams, cinema lounge, games room and the footpath from the gate.
— The hot tub
One of a handful of Suffolk cottages with a proper hot tub.
The hot tub sits in a private corner of the enclosed garden — south-facing, so it catches the afternoon light and the sunset. It's kept at 38°C year-round and serviced weekly. In winter, sit under the stars with steam rising. In summer, cool off in the garden and climb back in for the evening.
Unlike an inflatable, this is a hardwired 6-person spa with proper filtration and hydrotherapy jets. Bath robes and towels are supplied, and there's a covered space to hang wet swimwear.
The garden itself is fully enclosed and dog-friendly, with a firepit, gas BBQ, gas pizza oven and covered outdoor dining. It's the space most groups end up spending the day in — the hot tub is just the centrepiece.
For weekends and short breaks, the barn is well-placed for the whole of the county: 18 minutes to medieval Lavenham, 20 to Ipswich, 25 to Bury St Edmunds — and an easy hour to the Aldeburgh and Southwold coast for a day out.
